The German producer and DJ duo Ostblockschlampen consists of the two artists Markus Lange and Sophie Schäfer. The duo formed in 2009 and have been making music in a mix of moombahton, bass house, trap and EDM ever since. They have also collaborated with numerous other musicians such as the US DJ Steve Aokis, the Belgian DJ duo Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, Luca Pink, the German DJ Niels van Gogh and Mingue. Markus Lange began producing music back in 2003 and released it on various record labels. Sophie Schäfer has been producing music since 2007 and began her career as a DJ in the same year. Her debut EP Rude Nudes was released in 2010, followed by her single "Bitches from Ostblock" in 2011. After their first releases, the Ostblockschlampen toured Europe, including the SonneMondSterne Festival in Thuringia, the Belgian Laundry Day music festival, the Belgian Tomorrowland Festival, the Sonar Off Party in Barcelona and Larry Tee's Block Party in London. in 2012, they produce the remix album Wonderland for Steve Aokis. 2013 sees the release of their debut album Signs - Album Part 1 with the single "La Boom". In summer 2015, the Ostblockschlampen produce a remix of the single "Praise Abort" by the German-Swedish metal duo Lindemann. The single reaches number 42 in the German charts. In collaboration with Niels van Gogh, the DJ duo released the single " Get Money" in 2018. 2021 sees the release of the single " Tomorrowland" and 2022 the single "My Mind".
