Labanda are a Spanish Celtic music and folk-rock group from Madrid, formed in 1979. The ensemble originally performed as La Banda de Rory McGregor. The group's repertoire consisted primarily of traditional instrumental pieces, such as “Sueños diabólicos”. The band released the self-titled studio album Labanda in 1980, followed by Fiesta campestre (Rockmería) in 1981. Labanda became inactive in 1986 and resumed activity in 1987 with a new formation led by Leonel Vignola. Blanco was the only musician from the original lineup to continue in the new group. During this period, the band released the albums Un millón de kilómetros (Mini LP) in 1987 and Buenos tiempos in 1989. These were followed by Rural Tour in 1992 and the CD Maxi Serie master Cadena 100 in 1993. The ensemble released the album No todo es seda in 1995.
