Michael Gorman, born in 1895 in County Sligo, Ireland, was an Irish fiddler who began his musical career around 1906. He is known for his collaborations with Margaret Barry and has been recognized as a significant figure in traditional Irish music. His early recordings include Irish Jigs, Reels & Hornpipes Recorded In Ireland (1956) and The Blarney Stone (1961). Gorman's work was featured on the Topic Records 70th anniversary boxed set Three Score and Ten, which included tracks from albums such as Her Mantle So Green. Gorman continued his musical activities until he died in 1970.
