The Moffatts, a Canadian pop/rock country band, were formed in 1987 and consisted of brothers Scott Andrew Moffatt, Clinton Thomas John "Clint" Moffatt, Robert Franklin Peter "Bob" Moffatt, and David Michael William "Dave" Moffatt. Born in Whitehorse, Yukon, and Vancouver, British Columbia, the band began their musical journey as a country music vocal group during their childhood. Their first recording was at Studio 86 in West Edmonton Mall, where they sang "Grandpa" by the Judds in 1987. The Moffatts released three records under Polydor Nashville: It's a Wonderful World (1993), The Moffatts (1995), and A Moffatt Christmas (1996). They were the youngest band to ever sign a major label recording contract at that time. In 1998, they transitioned to pop/rock music with their album Chapter I: A New Beginning, which sold over six million copies worldwide and went double platinum in Canada. The album featured the single "Until You Loved Me", which appeared in the film Never Been Kissed. Their follow-up album, Submodalities (2000), contained a harder-edged rock flavor and was produced by Bob Rock. The band disbanded in 2001 but reunited for various tours and performances, including an online Christmas show on December 22, 2012, and the Farewell Tour in Asia starting in February 2017.
