Talulah Gosh, a guitar-pop group from Oxford, England, formed in 1986. The band consisted of Amelia Fletcher (vocals, guitar), Mathew Fletcher (drums), Peter Momtchiloff (lead guitar), Rob Pursey (bass), and Elizabeth Price (vocals). Their debut live performance occurred on March 7, 1986, followed by the release of a flexidisc and two singles, "Beatnik Boy" and "Steaming Train", in the same year. The group's name was derived from an NME interview headline featuring Clare Grogan. In 1987, they released the single, "Talulah Gosh", which featured Eithne Farry on vocals after Elizabeth Price left to form The Carousel. Their debut compilation album, Rock Legends: Volume 69, was released in 1987. Notable singles include "Bringing Up Baby" and "Testcard Girl". Talulah Gosh disbanded in 1988. Other releases include They've Scoffed the Lot (1991), Backwash (1996), and Was It Just a Dream? (2013).
