Raymond Lauchengco, born November 29, 1965 in the Philippines, is a singer and actor known for his contributions to musical theater. His career began at age 12 when he played Louis in Repertory Philippines' staging of The King and I. At 18, Lauchengco transitioned into mainstream Philippine showbusiness, gaining prominence as one of the teen idols of the 1980s with his role in the film Bagets. He represented the Philippines at the Tokyo Music Festival in 1987. His debut album, Raymond, was released in 1983, followed by Dreamboy (1984), and Rated R (1988). Lauchengco's fifth album, New Every Morning, was launched on June 23, 1993. He won the Aliw Award for Best Concert Collaboration in 2010 for his concert series The Best of Us with Ayen Laurel. His tenth album, The Promise, was released by Viva Records on May 17, 2014.
