Fflur Dafydd, born on August 1, 1978 and from Llandysul, Wales, is a Welsh novelist, singer-songwriter and musician. She first gained prominence as a student in 1999 by winning the Literature Medal at the Urdd National Eisteddfod at Lampeter. Her musical career began with the release of Pethau Rhyfedd (2003) as part of the girl band Y Panics, and she emerged as a solo artist in 2005 with her debut album Coch am Weddill fy Oes. She has since released several albums, including Un Ffordd Mas (2007), Byd Bach (2009), and Ffydd Gobaith Cariad (2012). Dafydd's sound is described as a fusion of blues, soul, and pop. She has performed in many countries and regularly at literary and music festivals throughout Wales.
