Ricardo Tanturi, born on January 27, 1905, in Buenos Aires, Argentina, was a pianist and composer dedicated to tango music. He began his musical journey playing the violin but switched to piano under the influence of his brother Antonio. In 1934, he debuted with his orchestra at the Alvear Palace Hotel and later became a central figure on Radio El Mundo. His breakthrough came in 1939 when he collaborated with Alberto Castillo, leading to a series of successful recordings including "Recuerdo" and "Así se baila el tango". Their partnership lasted until 1943, after which Tanturi continued his career with Enrique Campos. Notable tracks from this period include "Calor de hogar" and "Si se salva el pibe". He passed away on January 24, 1973.
