Anders Bergcrantz, born on December 5, 1961, in Malmö, Sweden, is a Swedish trumpeter. He grew up in a musical family and began playing the trumpet at age 15. Bergcrantz started performing regionally with his father’s quintet and formed his own band in 1986, touring internationally. Notable collaborations include performances with Michael Brecker and a two-week residency at Ronnie Scott's in 1990. He also performed as a guest soloist at Carnegie Hall in New York in 2000. His album releases include Twenty-Four Hours (1990), About Time (2007), and Elevate (2020). For his album In This Together, Bergcrantz received the Gyllene Skivan in 1995. In 2009, he was awarded the Django d’Or (Sweden) as a contemporary jazz star.
