Lee Potter, born 11 January 1972 in Brighton, England, is a British DJ and electronic music producer known by the stage name Cut La Roc. After developing an interest in acid house in the late 1980s, he released the single “Post Punk Progression” in 1998, which received critical attention from NME. In 1999 he issued his debut album La Rocsand followed with Nemesis in 2007, Hypertension (EP) in 2008, and Electric Forces Funk (EP) in 2010. Cut La Roc signed to Rocstar Recordings and produced a Ministry of Sound mix album for the FSUK imprint in 1999, performing with nine decks. His work is associated with the big‑beat genre, blending hip‑hop breakbeats with house and rock elements.
