Norbert Pétry (born 1946) is a French Renaissance and Baroque organist and music teacher. Pétry gave his first organ performance at age 12. He studied under Marcel Mercier and Louis Thiry at the Metz Conservatory before earning a diploma in organ and improvisation at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Paris in the class of Rolande Falcinelli. Pétry served as the titular organist of the Metz Cathedral between 1981 and 2020. He taught as a professor of organ at the Metz Conservatory for more than 20 years until June 2012. Pétry’s discography includes the albums Gloses et variations (1991), Coffret 5 CD Orgues de Moselle (1994), Orgelbüchlein (1995), and Les Maîtres du Baroque (1997). His former students included François Ménissier, Anne-Catherine Bucher, Vincent Bernhardt, Thierry Ferré, and Loïc Bonisoli.
