Jorge Federico Osorio Puente, born on March 22, 1951, in Mexico, is a concert pianist. He began his musical studies at age three under the guidance of his mother, concert pianist Luz María Puente. At 13, he won the Juventudes Musicales competition in Mexico. In 1963, Osorio enrolled at the National Conservatory of Music, graduating in 1967. He then studied at the National Conservatory of France and later at the Tchaikovsky Conservatory in Moscow. Osorio's international career began with national tours upon his return to Mexico, followed by performances across North America, Europe, Asia, and Russia. Notable recordings include Piano Concerto No. 4 and 5 with The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra. Osorio received the Bellas Artes Medal in 2012 and an honorary doctorate from the University of Veracruz in 2015, which marked his 50 years of artistic career.
