Charles Maximilian Siem, born on January 14, 1986 in London, England, is a contemporary classical violinist. He began studying the violin at age three and later attended Eton College and Girton College, Cambridge. Siem's early training included studies with Itzhak Rashkovsky and Shlomo Mintz. At 15, he performed his first concerto with an orchestra, and by 18, he had played with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra. His early albums include Sonatas for Violin and Piano (2008) with Andrei Korobeinikov and Charlie Siem (2010). Subsequent albums include Under The Stars (2014) and Brahms and Enescu (2025) with the Philharmonia Orchestra and Oleg Caetani. Siem has collaborated with artists such as The Who and Miley Cyrus, and has played a violin made by Guarneri del Gesu from 1735.
