Aksel Johannes Skramstad Rykkvin, born on April 11, 2003 in Norway, is a baritone singer known for his early career as a boy soprano. He began singing with the Oslo Cathedral Boys' Choir at age five and later joined the Children's Chorus of the Norwegian National Opera and Ballet. Rykkvin gained recognition for his vocal tone and musicality, recording two albums on Signum Records: Aksel! Arias by Bach, Handel & Mozart (2016) and Light Divine (2018). His debut album was funded through a Kickstarter campaign and debuted in the UK Classical Music charts. Rykkvin's achievements include being nominated for Newcomer of the Year at the 2016 Spellemannprisen and named The Musician of the Year during the national part of the Youth Music Championship 2016–2017. In 2022, he began studying a Bachelor of Music degree in Voice at the Royal Academy of Music in London under Prof. Mark Wildman.
