The Graveltones, a heavy blues rock band consisting of Jimmy O (guitar/vocals) and Mikey Sorbello (drums), formed in London in 2011. The duo met in London's Tin Pan Alley and played their first gig at the 100 Club just three days after meeting. Their debut EP, The Graveltones, was released digitally in October 2011. In February 2012, they embarked on a headline tour of Australia and released the single "I Want Your Love" in May of that year, which was used in an Irish Lotto advertising campaign. Their debut album, Don't Wait Down, was released in 2013 and featured the single "Catch Me on the Fly". In late 2014, they announced their second studio album, Love Lies Dying, released in 2015.
