Leo van Doeselaar is a Dutch classical organist, pianist, and conductor born on April 26, 1954, in Goes. He studied at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam under Albert de Klerk for organ and Jan Wijn for piano. Since 1977, he has performed internationally as part of a piano duo with Wyneke Jordans. Van Doeselaar served as titular organist at the Concertgebouw Amsterdam and at the Pieterskerk in Leiden until 2021. In 2014, he was appointed co-titular organist at the Martinikerk in Groningen. He has premiered works by composers such as Sofia Gubaidulina and Wolfgang Rihm. His discography includes the complete organ works of Sweelinck and George Frideric Handel, alongside albums such as Mozart on Organ and Oeuvres pour orgue. From 1995 to 2019, he held a professorship at the Universität der Künste Berlin. His recordings have received honors including the 2003 Edison Prize and the 2013 Echo Klassik award for his performance of works by Heinrich Scheidemann.
