Replikas, a Turkish rock band from Istanbul, was established in 1996. The group initially consisted of Gökçe Akçelik on vocals and guitar, Barkın Engin on guitar, Selçuk Artut on bass guitar, Orçun Baştürk on drums, and Burak Tamer on electronics. Their debut album, Köledoyuran, was released in November 2000 by Ada Music. The band's second album, Dadaruhi, followed in 2002. In May 2005, they released their third record, Avaz. Replikas composed the soundtrack for the film Maruf in 2001 and wrote music for Kutluğ Ataman's İki Genç Kız in 2005, which earned them the best film music award from the Turkish Film Critics Association in 2006. The soundtracks were compiled into an album titled Film Müzikleri, released by Pozitif in October 2006. Their fifth album, Zerre, was released in November 2008. Vocalist Gökçe Akçelik died from cancer on August 11, 2024, at the age of 47.
