Jerry O'Sullivan, born on June 19, 1969, in New York City, is an Irish-American musician specializing in bagpipes. He began playing the Great Highland bagpipes as a youngster and later took up uilleann pipes after visiting his cousins in Dublin. In the 1980s, O’Sullivan joined Green Fields of America, collaborating with notable musicians such as Seamus Egan, Eileen Ivers, and Mick Moloney. His debut solo album, The Invasion, was released in 1987. Throughout his career, he has appeared on over 90 albums, including collaborations with Dolly Parton's Heartsongs: Live from Home (1994) and Susan McKeown’s Bones (1996). O’Sullivan also released other notable solo albums, such as The Gift (1998) and the collaborative series O'Sullivan Meets O'Farrell, Volume One (2005) and Volume Two (2010). In 2018, he self-released The Killasser Flute / An Fheadóg Mhór Chill Lasrach, a collection of flute music.
