Eileen Ivers, born on July 13, 1965, in New York City, is an American fiddler of Irish descent. She started playing the fiddle at nine, studying under Martin Mulvihill and touring with Mick Moloney's band, Green Fields of America. Ivers was a founding member of Cherish the Ladies, recording and touring with them for several years. In 1995, she replaced the original fiddler in Riverdance. Her discography includes Fresh Takes (1987) with John Whelan, Traditional Irish Music (1994), Wild Blue (1996), and Crossing The Bridge (1999). Ivers collaborated with Micheál Ó Súilleabháin on the album Becoming (1998) and contributed to the soundtrack for Gangs of New York, providing the traditional air "Lament for Stalker Wallace". Ivers was also a founding member of the Independent Music Awards' judging panel, which supports independent artists. She also released several albums, including Beyond the Bog Road (2016) and Scatter the Light (2020).
