Aya Korem, born on January 7, 1980, in Nazareth Ilit, Israel, is an Israeli singer. She served as a tank instructor at the IDF's Armored Corps after high school and studied Songwriting, Composition, and Performance at the Rimon School of Jazz and Contemporary Music from 2001 to 2004. Korem's first public exposure was as a songwriter with "Ata af Pa'am" for Miri Mesika's debut album in April 2005. She released her debut album Aya Korem in 2006, produced by Ori Zakh, which featured the singles "Kayitz" and "Shir Ahava Pashut," earning her a Golden Album award. Her second album Safa Zara was released in February 2008, featuring singles like "HaSof shel HaSipur" and "Al Ta'amini."
