Ginesa Ortega Cortés, known professionally as Ginesa Ortega, is a Catalan flamenco singer of Romani origin who was born in Metz, France, and moved to Cornellà de Llobregat, Barcelona, a few months after her birth. Ortega began her musical journey at the age of twelve, training in classical flamenco and developing a versatile style that also incorporates jazz influences. Her discography includes several notable albums: Siento (1997), Oscuriá (1998) and Este Verano (Lo Sabe Mi Mama) (1988). She has also collaborated with prominent artists such as Joan Manuel Serrat, accompanying him on "Los macarras de la moral" from the album Sombras de la China (1998) and later covering his songs. Ortega released Por Los Espejos Del Agua in 2002.
