Elly Ney, born on September 27, 1882, in Düsseldorf, Germany, was a pianist. She began her musical education at ten under Isidor Seiß at the Köln Konservatorium and later studied with Theodor Leschetitzky and Emil von Sauer in Vienna. Ney's professional career started as a teacher at the Kölner Konservatorium from 1904 to 1907 while also performing as a concert pianist. In 1921 she moved to the USA, where she performed at venues like Carnegie Hall. She returned to Europe in 1930 and continued her career. Ney's later years were marked by her controversial support for the Nazi regime, including her membership in the NSDAP until her death on March 31, 1968.
