The Gundecha Brothers, Umakant and Ramakant Gundecha, are Indian classical singers known for their work in the dhrupad genre. They studied at Madhav Music College and later trained under Zia Fariduddin Dagar and Zia Mohiuddin Dagar in Bhopal. Their first public performance was in May 1985. Throughout their career, they released albums such as The Route To Bliss, Volume 2 (1990), Raga Kedar (008), and Night Prayer (2012). They expanded the dhrupad repertoire by incorporating texts from Hindi poets like Tulsidas. Ramakant Gundecha passed away on November 8, 2019. Their accolades include the Padma Shri for art in 2012 and the Sangeet Natak Akademi Award in 2017.
