The Flanders Recorder Quartet was a Belgian professional recorder ensemble formed in 1987. The group consisted of Bart Spanhove, Tom Beets, Joris van Goethem, and Paul van Loey. In 1990, the ensemble won the Musica Antiqua Bruges competition. The group released the recordings Deutsche Barock Kammermusik Vii: Mit Flöten Chor (1997) and Johann Sebastian Bach (2010). Their performances received reviews in publications including The New York Times, the Columbia Spectator, and the Milwaukee Express. The ensemble performed The Four Seasons in 1998. The quartet utilized instruments such as the recorder to perform music from various eras, including the Renaissance. The group became inactive in 2018.
