Terry Gibbs

Terry Gibbs, nacido Julius Gubenko el 13 de octubre de 1924 en Brooklyn, Nueva York, fue un vibrafonista estadounidense. A los doce años ganó un concurso amateur de xilófono. Tras servir en la Segunda Guerra Mundial, Gibbs comenzó su carrera profesional con Tommy Dorsey de 1946 a 1948 y más tarde actuó con Chubby Jackson, Buddy Rich, la banda de Woody Herman y Benny Goodman. En 1957 se trasladó a Los Ángeles, donde trabajó como músico de estudio y dirigió la Terry Gibbs Dream Band. A lo largo de su carrera, Gibbs publicó álbumes como Terry Gibbs Quartet (1965) y Straight Ahead (1962). También fue director musical de The Steve Allen Show en la década de 1960.
