Fundado en 2007, Kara es un grupo surcoreano de idols formado en Seúl bajo la dirección de la agencia DSP Media, compuesto inicialmente por las cantantes Seungyeon, Nicole, Sung-Hee y Gyuri, que eligieron personalmente el nombre artístico Kara, que significa "alegría" en griego. Su álbum de debut, The First Blooooming (posteriormente retitulado Blooming), se grabó en 2007 y alcanzó el número 2 en las listas surcoreanas. Al año siguiente, Sung-Hee se retiró debido a la presión de sus padres y Kara dio la bienvenida a dos nuevos miembros: Goo Hara (conocida como Hara) y Kang Jiyoung, grabando el EP, Rock U en 2008. Al año siguiente, Kara lanzó su segundo álbum de estudio Revolution (2009) y el EP Lupin, obteniendo su primer número uno con su tema titular en 2010, allanando el camino para una serie de éxitos como "Jumping" (2010), "Step" (2011) y "Pandora" (2012). Durante este tiempo, el grupo irrumpió en el mercado japonés, grabando los álbumes en japonés Girl's Talk (2010) Super Girl (2012), Girls Forever (2012) y Fantastic Girls (2013), que les valieron varios premios Japan Gold Disc. Atrayendo un éxito paralelo en su propio país, los álbumes Step (2011) y Full Bloom (2013) también alcanzaron la cima de las listas Circle en Corea del Sur, sin embargo, después de varias giras exitosas, el grupo se disolvió en 2016 para concentrarse en sus respectivas carreras en solitario, con fuertes especulaciones de que volverían a formarse en el futuro. Poco después, sin embargo, Hara, miembro del grupo, se quitó la vida en noviembre de 2019 y, como se predijo, los miembros restantes se reunieron en 2022, lanzando Move Again para conmemorar su 15 aniversario, actuando por primera vez en los Premios MAMA 2022. La canción que da título al álbum alcanzó el número 5 en las listas Circle Charts.
