Sebastian "Billy" Mure, nacido el 4 de noviembre de 1915 en Nueva York, fue un guitarrista estadounidense que comenzó a tocar el violín a los nueve años antes de pasarse a la guitarra. Tocó en bandas durante la Segunda Guerra Mundial y más tarde trabajó en la emisora de radio WNEW hasta 1957. La carrera de Mure despegó con el lanzamiento de su primer álbum Super-Sonic Guitars in Hi-Fi en 1957, al que siguieron singles notables como "The Answer to the Flying Saucer: U.F.O. (Men From Mars)". Su sencillo "A String of Trumpets" alcanzó el número 64 del Billboard Hot 100 en 1960. Mure publicó varios álbumes a finales de los 50 y principios de los 60, entre ellos Hawaiian Percussion (1961). Siguió actuando hasta su muerte, el 25 de septiembre de 2013.
