Mindgames, grupo belga de rock progresivo, fue fundado en 1997 por Eric Vandormael (bajo) y Bart Schram (voz). El grupo completó su formación en 2000 con Rudy Van Der Veken a la guitarra. Su maqueta de debut incluía las canciones "Mental Argue", "Signs from the Sky" y "Dreamin' the Circus". En 2002, Mindgames publicó su primer álbum, International Daylight, que posteriormente distribuyó Musea Records, lo que les dio una mayor difusión. Su segundo álbum, Actors in a Play (2006), producido por Frank Van Bogaert, se vendió bien en Alemania. Eric Vandormael abandonó la banda durante este periodo debido a diferencias musicales y fue sustituido por Maximilian von Wüllerstorff al bajo para su tercer álbum MMX, publicado el día de Año Nuevo de 2010.
