Fue en 2009, en Suecia, cuando Reine Fiske, entonces guitarrista del grupo de rock indie Dungen, y su amigo Christopher Gunrup, que también tocaba la guitarra con Granada, decidieron formar una entidad conjunta llamada The Amazing, a la que se sumaron el teclista Fredrik Swahn, el bajista Alexis Benson y el batería Moussa Fadera. El quinteto pasó directamente a la acción, publicando un álbum de debut homónimo con un sonido pop-rock ligero y ligero que recibió críticas muy favorables en la prensa. Al año siguiente se publicó el EP Wait for a Light to Come, al que siguió en 2011 un segundo álbum, Gentle Stream, que consolidó la floreciente reputación de la banda. En 2015, un tercer álbum titulado Picture You marcó el verdadero inicio del ascenso de The Amazing, que ahora combinaba rock con psicodelia. Tan solo un año después, en 2016, la banda sueca dio el golpe con un cuarto álbum, Ambulance, que se hizo eco en toda Europa.
