Stig Møller, born on November 2, 1945, in Copenhagen, Denmark, was a Danish singer, guitarist, and songwriter. He started his career in the early 1960s as a bassist with the group Blackbeat, later transitioning to folk music. Møller's first single, "People They Don’t know", was released in 1966. That same year, he collaborated with Paul Simon on the song "Min By" (My Town), which was included in the retrospective box set Derfra Hvor Vi Stod (From Where We Stood) in 2005. Møller formed the influential rock band Steppeulvene with poet Eik Skaløe. The band's 1967 album Hit featured psychedelic elements. After Steppeulvene disbanded in 1970, Møller continued his solo career with albums such as Kærligheden let på tå (Tenderness on Quiet Souls) in 1972 and Til Dig (For You) in 1978.
