Michael Ehlert Falch, born on September 16, 1956 in Køge, Denmark, is a Danish singer and guitarist. He began his career as the lead singer and musician of the rock band Malurt, established in 1977. The band, which included Falch (vocals and guitar), Christian Arendt (guitar), Henrik Littauer (keyboards), Peter Mors (drums) and Dia Nielsen (bass), released several albums between 1976 and 1984. After a hiatus, Malurt reunited in 1990 for the Roskilde Festival and released four more albums before going on hold in 1994. Following the initial break-up of Malurt, Falch embarked on a solo career, releasing over a dozen albums including Tossede Verden and Nye Rejsende. He has also appeared in television series and films, winning the Bodil prize for his role in the film Mord i mørket directed by Dan Turèll.
