Flemming "Bamse" Duun Jørgensen, born on February 7, 1947, in Denmark, was a Danish pop singer and actor. He began his music career as the lead singer of Bamses Venner (Teddy's Friends), achieving significant success with hits like "Vimmersvej" based on The Lion Sleeps Tonight. His solo debut album Din Sang was released in 1977, marking the start of a prolific solo career. Throughout his career, Jørgensen released numerous albums including Solen Skinner, Lige Nu!, and Tæt På. He also ventured into acting, receiving a Robert Award for best male supporting actor in 1986 for his role in the movie Ofelia Kommer til Byen (Ophelia comes to town). Jørgensen's music career spanned over three decades, selling more than 3.5 million albums. He passed away on January 1, 2011, at the age of 63 due to a cardiac arrest in his home in Egå, Denmark.
