Helga Hahnemann, born on September 8, 1937, in Berlin-Wilhelmsruh, Germany, was a singer. She studied at the Ernst Busch Academy of Dramatic Arts and began her career with Die Pfeffermühle, a cabaret ensemble. Hahnemann gained prominence through television and radio appearances, notably on the satirical comedy show "Tele-BZ". In 1969, she joined DFF's Drama Ensemble. She collaborated with scriptwriter Angela Gentzmer from 1974 onwards, producing notable songs such as "Wo ist mein Jeld bloß geblieben" and "U-Bahn-Beat". Her career spanned three decades of television work, earning her the Art Prize of the German Democratic Republic in 1982. Her albums include Big Helga (1989) and Helga's Topp Musike (1995). Hahnemann passed away on November 20, 1991, at the age of 54. Posthumously, she was honored with the annual "Goldene Henne" prize, inaugurated in 1995.
