Dominic Angas, born 1974 in the United Kingdom, is a British DJ and record producer known professionally as Dom & Roland. Growing up in Shepherd’s Bush, London, Angas developed an early interest in hip‑hop before transitioning to breakbeat and drum and bass during his twenties, a shift that led him to collaborate with Ed Rush and form the duo Current Affairs. His initial breakthrough came with the 1995 single "East/Solstice" on Saigon, followed by the 1996 release "Dynamics / The Planets" under the Dom & Roland alias, which established his reputation within the emerging techstep scene. In 1998, he released his debut album Industry on Moving Shadow, a release that positioned him alongside contemporaries such as Optical and Rob Playford. Subsequent albums Back For The Future (2002), Chronology (2004), and Through The Looking Glass (2008) continued to showcase his darker, experimental approach, while the 2009 EP No Strings Attached featured collaborations with Noisia, Amon Tobin, and Rob Playford. After departing Moving Shadow, Angas founded Dom & Roland Productions, releasing The Big Bang (2011) and later joining Metalheadz in 2016, where he has continued to issue new material. His work has earned recognition within the drum and bass community for its technical precision and has influenced a generation of producers in the genre.
