FM Static was a Canadian pop punk band formed in 2003 as a side project for Thousand Foot Krutch. Based in Toronto, Ontario, the band consisted of Trevor McNevan and Steve Augustine. Their debut album, What Are You Waiting For?, featured hit singles "Definitely Maybe" and "Crazy Mary". FM Static toured from 2003 to 2005 with John Bunner on guitar and Justin Smith on bass. The band's second album, Critically Ashamed, was released in August 2006 and included the single "Waste of Time". In April 2009, FM Static released their third studio album, Dear Diary, a concept album detailing the fictional story of a boy facing life's challenges. Their final album, My Brain Says Stop, But My Heart Says Go!, was released in April 2011. FM Static disbanded shortly after.
