Racing Glaciers, a UK rock group from Macclesfield, formed in September 2012. The band, consisting of Tim Monaghan, Danny Thorpe, Matt Scheepers, Simon Millest, and Matt Welch, gained early traction when their song "South" was featured on BBC Radio 1's BBC Introducing from Stoke in October 2012. Their debut EP, Racing Glaciers, released the same year, topped the Bandcamp Alternative Chart. In 2014, Racing Glaciers performed at major festivals including BBC Radio 1's Big Weekend and The Great Escape, and released two EPs: Ahead of You Forever and Don't Wait for Me. They contributed to the soundtracks of films like Transformers: Age of Extinction with "First Light" and Welcome Back with "Carry It On." In 2016, their first full-length album, Caught in the Strange, was released on Killing Moon Records. The band's notable singles include "V H S" and "What I Saw."
