Nominated for the "Victoires du Jazz" in the Revelation category in 2021, Tony Paeleman is a unique musician who skillfully balances his roles as producer, sound engineer, accompanist, and bandleader. He has crossed paths with artists such as Vincent Peirani, Anne Paceo, Youn Sun Nah, Émile Parisien, and Marion Rampal.
He is also the founder of the Shed Music collective, alongside Karl Jannuska, Christophe Panzani, and Pierre Perchaud, a group of curious, eclectic, and generous musicians. He produces, mixes, and hosts numerous renowned artists in his own studio, the Studio des Bruères. Paeleman has released two acoustic albums under his name: Slow Motion (2013) and Camera Obscura (2017), followed by The Fuse (2021), which dives into synthesizers and electronic effects at the heart of the group he forms with bassist Julien Herné and drummer Stéphane Huchard.
The Fuse has received critical acclaim: “an addictive album from start to finish” (Jazz Magazine), “feverish and weightless” (Télérama). He returns in 2024 with the same trio and an electrifying, groovy concept album centered around wild animals: Wise Animals.
