Previously a guitar man in The Real McCoy Lovers. Sean Blunt started experimenting with electronic music during lockdown at the start of 2021, more specifically trip-hop and the big beat movement of the 90s and early 2000s.
Since releasing an eclectic debut EP, "Bears, Beets, Battlestar Galactica" in 2021, Red5 is still reeling from the fact that a number of tracks have somehow accrued over 1,000 listens on Spotify alone. Most notably the 2022 singles "Time" and "Coming Back Around", and by far the best track on the aforementioned EP "Find A Way" (which is a clear Fatboy Slim ripoff and riddled with unlicensed samples btw).
As a producer, Red5 has collaborated with Brooklyn based indie-pop duo, DUELSIGN on a number of tracks. The most recent being their 2022 single "Throne".
