Los Marcellos Ferial, an Italian vocal group formed in 1962, consisted of Marcello Minerbi, Carlo Timò, and Tullio Romano. The trio was created by the label Durium to capitalize on the popularity of Latin American and Caribbean music in Italy. Their breakthrough came with a cover version of "Cuando calienta el sol" by Los Hermanos Rigual, which reached Number 1 on the Italian Hit Parade. Despite legal issues with RCA, who held the rights to the original song, Los Marcellos Ferial maintained their success, winning the 1964 Disco per l'estate award with "Sei diventata nera", which peaked at number 2. Other notable hits include "Angelita di Anzio" and La casa del sole, both reaching number 6 on the Hit Parade.
