Wetakeoff (Fabrice Gaba) is a French producer, DJ and entrepreneur shaping music’s future with his unique blend of sounds and cultural influences. Born in Lyon to an artistic family, his father, Christian Gabelo Gaba, renowned as an ambassador of Togolese music, and his painter mother nurtured his creativity.
Before embracing his own artistry, Wetakeoff built a strong career in music publishing, starting with managing his father’s rights. This led to the creation of Wetakeoff (publishing, label and studios). Over a decade, he has represented a diverse roster of artists, working with Grammy-winning composers, hip-hop innovators, and African music pioneers, securing placements in major projects like Donald Glover’s Atlanta on FX.
After years behind the scenes— curating Wetakeoff Camp, his creative residencies, and connecting Paris, LA, and Africa — he now steps into the spotlight and delivers his debut album, Wefly. Enjoy !
