Half Foot Outside

Half Foot Outside is a Spanish band based in Pamplona, Barcelona, and Madrid. The band consisted of Carlos Leoz, Eduardo Ugarte, Israel Medina, and Brian Hunt. Initially based in Pamplona, they later moved between Barcelona and Madrid. Their early sound evolved from hardcore to indie rock and power pop. Half Foot Outside released their debut album So Called… in 1998 on Brutus Records. They followed with Paint Red (1999) on Underhill Records, and New Ad Ideas (2001) on BCore. Their subsequent albums included It's Been a Hot Hot Summer (2003), Perfect from the Distance (2006), and Heavenly (2008). Notable collaborations on Heavenly included Jon Auer of The Posies and Florent and Banin of Los Planetas.
