Julyan is known for his incessant creativity. The Canadian singer-songwriter juggles collaborations and solo projects with impressive fluidity. His unique artistic vision gives him the freedom to traverse different musical genres, giving life to works that are at once engaging, magnetic and timeless.
With a strong pedigree on stage and in songwriting, Julyan has made his mark over the past decade as a member of The Seasons and Forest Boys. As a composer, Julyan has brought his unique signature to the works of respected artists such as Pierre Lapointe and Patrice Michaud. His talent as an arranger for albums such as those by Hubert Lenoir was hailed by ADISQ, earning him a nomination in 2018 and a Félix in 2022, in the “Arranger of the Year” category.
In May 2020, the artist presented his first solo project, a mini eponymous album, co-produced with Jesse Mac Cormack. Nominated for a GAMIQ 2020 award in the “Pop EP of the Year” category, this achievement enabled him to take to the stage and open for Elliot Maginot and Toronto band Bernice on tour.
Following the success of his first four singles—Jump The Fences, Think About You, Piña Colada, and Morning Light—which earned spots on numerous editorial playlists across digital platforms and even broke into the Top 100 Mediabase on the ADISQ charts, Julyan is releasing “1999” on July 12. This final single precedes his debut album, Future Lovers, set to drop on September 20, 2024. Produced with Philippe Brault, Julyan is ready to shine with this first full-length release!
