Jared K. Bridgeman, known professionally as Akrobatik, was an American rapper born on March 3, 1974, in Dorchester, Massachusetts. He began his career in 1998 with singles such as "Ruff Enough" (1998) and "Internet MCs" (2000), released by Detonator Records. In 2003, Akrobatik released Balance, which peaked at number 4 on CMJ’s Hip-Hop 2003 chart. He was also part of the hip-hop collective The Perceptionists with Mr. Lif and DJ Fakts One, releasing their album Black Dialogue in 2005. In December 2005, Akrobatik signed to Fat Beats Records, which released his subsequent studio album, Absolute Value, in 2008. The album received positive reviews from various outlets including AllMusic and HipHopDX.
