Diana Sorbello was born on 27 June 1979 in Bocholt, Germany, and began her artistic journey with classical ballet and jazz dance before studying sociology, pedagogy, and civil law at the Westfälische Wilhelms-Universität in Münster. Her first professional breakthrough came in 1997 when she signed with Koch International and released the single “Ich will zurück zu dir”. She entered the 1998 Grand-Prix pre-selection with the group Wind, and in 2002 released the single “Er steht im Tor”. Her debut album Bittersüß followed in 2006, alongside singles including “Wir schwenken die Fahnen”, and she continued her recording career through the late 2000s with further Schlager releases, including the single “Mamma Maria” in 2010. In 2014 she released “Warum [wein’ ich überhaupt noch]”. Her career included collaborations with producers Hermann Niesig and Reiner Hömig, and she performed regularly in gala and carnival circuits, maintaining a presence in the German pop and Schlager scenes.
