I have been writing songs for 20+ years, but until 2023 I only shared with friends. After realizing that the best of those early songs were collaborations with other artists, I set out to recruit musicians that wouldn’t just do what I asked, but would move the music forward to the next level by interjecting their own personalities and abilities into the songs. With their help I have now released over 20 songs and I’m just getting started!
I am really enjoying songwriting right now and a big reason is the feedback I’ve received from listeners the last couple of years. Every time I get a heartfelt comment from someone who was moved enough to reach out, it matters so much more to me than metrics. It cements my dedication to getting better at the craft and not just saying "good enough" like I used to when the songs were really just for me. Now the songs are for all those folks in the world whose spirit is tuned to the same frequency as my own. I don’t know any other way to say that, but I do realize the majority of people will not resonate with my songs, but that some really do. Those are my people and my goal is to work as hard as I can to create something that makes their lives a tiny bit better, even if it’s for just three minutes.
Going forward I will release new songs every 8 weeks (and albums every year or two) and hopefully will continue to grow as a songwriter. Thank you for listening and please feel free to say hello!
