Jonathan Lyndale Kirk, born 22 December 1991 in Cleveland, Ohio, is an American rapper and singer who began performing under the name Baby Jesus before adopting the stage name DaBaby. He first gained attention in 2014 with mixtapes such as Nonfiction and God's Work, leading to a signing with Interscope Records in January 2019 and the launch of his imprint Billion Dollar Baby Entertainment. His debut studio album Baby on Baby (March 2019) produced the single "Suge", which entered the Billboard Hot 100 top ten in June 2019. The follow‑up album Kirk (September 2019) debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 and yielded the singles "Intro" and "Bop". In April 2020, Blame It on Baby topped the Billboard 200 and spawned the hit "Rockstar" featuring Roddy Ricch, which held the Billboard Hot 100 summit for seven non‑consecutive weeks and earned a Gold certification from the RIAA. DaBaby continued to release Baby on Baby 2 (November 2022) and Be More Grateful (January 2026), while collaborating with artists such as Post Malone, Megan Thee Stallion, and YoungBoy Never Broke Again. His work has consistently charted on the Billboard 200, and his 2020 single "Rockstar" received a nomination for Record of the Year at the 63rd Annual Grammy Awards.
