Jaymotts were formed out of pandemic tedium. In May 2020 two old school friends - Chris Le Mottee and Jonathan Hall - started sending funky indie rock ideas back and forth and it got of hand. Before they knew it their debut EP Stars of Cheese was released on 1st Oct 2020.

Stars of Cheese is a celebratory EP of the quirky and unusual, with subject matter ranging from horses to the homely sofa cushion buttock indent.

Spurred on by the toasty reaction to Stars of Cheese, the gents released their first single on 8th Dec 2020 - the funky disco Sandra's New Car and the uptempo funk rocky Funkobaijan.

There's plenty in the Jaymotts tank and the boys are brewing their debut album, touted for Spring 2021.

Jaymotts are two passionate musicians and humour merchants that want to bring fun funky tunes into this wonky world. It's fine musicianship with tongue firmly in cheek.
