Pure Energy was an American disco and post-disco music group formed in 1980, comprising Curtis Hudson, Lisa Stevens, Raymond Hudson, and Wade Hudson as Pure Energy's manager. The band signed to Prism Records and released their debut single, "Party On", that same year. In 1982, Pure Energy achieved chart success with the singles "Breakaway" and "Too Hot", both of which entered the Billboard Dance charts. The group also recorded Italo disco-influenced boogie songs such as "Spaced Out" and "Love Game", with the latter peaking at number 30 on the Billboard Dance chart in 1983. Notably, Curtis Hudson and Lisa Stevens co-wrote Madonna's hit "Holiday" in 1983. Pure Energy released the freestyle song "One Hot Night" in 1984, after which the group disbanded.
