Companyia Elèctrica Dharma is a Catalan musical group from Barcelona formed in 1972 by brothers Josep, Esteve, and Joan Fortuny. They performed as Els Llums starting in 1967, playing rock versions of traditional arrangements before experimenting with jazz-rock and progressive fusion under their current name. They moved to a rural commune in Girona in 1974 and released their debut studio album, Diumenge (1975). Their professional breakthrough occurred with L'oucomballa (1976) and Tramuntana (1977), the latter of which sold 30,000 copies and received critical acclaim. Following a successful performance in Madrid in 1977, they released the symphonic-style record L'àngel de la dansa (1978). The group transitioned toward a more accessible sound with Ordinàries aventures (1979) and performed at global events like "Rock in Rio" and "Memphis In May." Esteve Fortuny died on 19 August 1986. They continued recording through the 1990s and 2000s, including the medieval-influenced Llibre vermell (2002). Josep Fortuny died on 30 September 2013. They celebrated their 50th anniversary at Palau Sant Jordi in 2023.
