Trio Lescano was a female vocal group consisting of Hungarian-Dutch sisters Alexandrina Eveline Leschan (1910–1987), Judith Leschan (1913–1976), and Catherine Matje Leschan (1919–1965). Born in the Netherlands, they initially performed as circus acrobats. In 1935, they moved to Turin, where maestro Carlo Prato formed them into a vocal trio. Their first recording, “Guarany Guaranà” (1936), was released under the name Trio Lescano with Parlophon. The group joined Orchestra Cetra in 1937, directed by Pippo Barzizza, boosting their popularity. They performed on experimental Italian television broadcasts and sang a musical number in the film Ecco la radio! (1940). In 1942, they were granted Italian citizenship by King Victor Emmanuel III. Notable songs included “Tulipan”. Catherine left the group in 1946 and was replaced by Maria Bria. The trio toured until disbanding after a South American tour in 1950.
